ABOUT
ZAIFO
Zaifo Trading Enterprise was founded by Sipho Sekonyela, a South African visual artist from Klerksdorp in the North West Province, whose work is deeply rooted in storytelling, cultural identity, and community expression.
In 2003, Sekonyela took a decisive step in his artistic journey by registering an arts and crafts business specialising in visual arts, marking the beginning of his professional practice and a
long-standing commitment to developing his craft within the local art landscape.
Since then, he has remained an active contributor to the North West art space, building a body of work that reflects both his artistic expression and community upliftment.
Sekonyela is recognised for his large-scale mural work, where he transforms public spaces into vibrant visual narratives. His murals, often bold in colour and expressive in form, capture influential figures and themes of unity, identity, and resilience, allowing him to bring creativity directly into communities, making art accessible and meaningful to everyday people.
Through his continued practice, Sipho Sekonyela stands as both an artist and a visual storyteller, one who not only creates art, but also contributes to the cultural narrative of his community and beyond.

ART IS GIFT MEANT TO SERVE, INSPIRE REFLECTION, AND OPEN SPACES FOR DIALOGUE AND GROWTH.
